The Murphy Administration’s Yo-Yo Tricks on Clean Energy

A yo-yo is a toy that goes up and down, can be made to do intricate tricks, but always ends up back where it started — it never really goes anywhere. A lot like Governor Murphy’s administration when it comes to pushing for clean renewable energy — start by talking about lofty goals, but at the end of the day, not really go anywhere.

Case in point: the NJ Transitgrid project, unanimously approved by NJ Transit’s board (see the NorthJersey.com article here and editorial here) You can’t get to the administration’s goals to move toward 100% clean energy if you are spinning around and building a new fossil fuel plant. Back where we started burning more fossil fuel.
